Managing more than 2 million patient visits each year, Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is one of the largest academic medical centers in the Southeast, and is the primary resource for specialty and primary care in hundreds of adult and pediatric specialties for patients throughout Tennessee and the Mid-South. As a marketing communications leader in the organization, I generated multiple articles that were featured internally and externally to global audiences, some with reaches of 400,000. One article is even about me (but I didn't write THAT one...!) 

I exceeded recruitment goals

I could breathe when I saw our numbers grow up to and beyond the requirements set by the business leaders. Our progress as a cohort was astounding. And what I mean by cohort is the participants and me. There were no other staff members budgeted for the work. In just 2.5 years as the outreach manager of the study, over 6,000 people participated!
